From our family to yours

Founded by two beekeeping brothers, Ben and Caleb, Hackett’s is a family owned and operated business with its roots in the picturesque Northland town of Kerikeri.

What started as 10 hives in 2007 has grown to just over 1000 hives throughout remote parts of the North Island of New Zealand with a passionate team of honey gatherers. Despite this growth, we’ve never lost sight of what makes staying small so special. We proudly keep things personal, maintaining close relationships with customers and making decisions that stay true to our founding family values.

A commitment to quality

A fascination for bees and a love for the environment is what drew us to found our family beekeeping business, establishing a name for ourselves as the Nectar Boys. With an uncompromising commitment to quality, we’ve remained focused on producing the finest tasting and highly sought-after high-activity Mānuka honey. With care and integrity leading the work we do, we proudly put our name behind the finished product that ends up in your hands.

Treading lightly on the land

We’re committed to keeping our footprint small. Every part of the process, from bee to you, is anchored in sustainable practice, with a focus on what’s right for the planet. Our products arrive to you in sustainable glass and cardboard packaging, with a recyclable and recycled RPET plastic jar as a lightweight option. Our respect for our bees, our land and its ecosystems runs deep, and preserving the environments in which our bees live is our priority.
